For over 35 years, Forest Lodge has been more than just a care home — it’s been a place to call home. Family-run and proudly part of the Nottingham community, we provide exceptional care in a warm, homely atmosphere where every service user is valued and respected.
Specialist Care, Tailored to You
We offer expert dementia and mental health care, including support for Alzheimer’s, bipolar disorder, and recovery from alcohol or substance dependency. Each care plan is personalised to meet individual needs, ensuring comfort, dignity, and a high quality of life.
We also provide flexible respite care throughout the year, so families can rest easy knowing their loved ones are in safe hands.
A Beautiful Place to Live
Nestled among the trees of Forest Recreation Park, our 28 bedrooms — 15 with en-suite — offer comfort and privacy. Service users enjoy cosy lounges, quiet rooms for puzzles and reading, and welcoming spaces to share a cup of tea with family and friends.
A Community That Cares
We’re proud of our strong local ties, working closely with Nottingham High School and Hollygirt School, whose students regularly visit to spend time with service users. This intergenerational connection brings joy, laughter, and a vibrant community spirit to our home.

We invest heavily in ongoing training, and all of our team members are NVQ (QCF) qualified, giving you peace of mind that your loved one is in skilled and capable hands.

Inspections & Quality Assurance
At Forest Lodge, quality care isn’t just our goal — it’s our promise. We are regularly inspected by Nottingham City Council and the Care Quality Commission (CQC), who regulate all adult social care services in England. This ensures our service users always receive the safest, most effective care possible.
We also carry out our own internal inspections led by our experienced management team. Through audits, staff training, service user feedback, and family input, we continually look for ways to improve and enhance our service.
Our Registered Manager holds an NVQ Level 5 qualification with over 20 years of care experience, supported by another registered manager with the same qualification and a passion for elderly care. Many of our staff have been with us for 20+ years, bringing a wealth of knowledge, skill, and commitment.
