Facilities

Our Facilities

At Forest Lodge, we provide a welcoming, comfortable, and fully accessible environment, designed to make every service user feel at home.

Catering & Dining

Our chef, with over 25 years of experience, prepares fresh, nutritious meals daily. Menus are tailored to individual tastes and dietary needs, including favourite recipes and special requests. We celebrate international cuisine with themed days — Italian, Pakistani, French, Chinese, and American — and service users are encouraged to invite friends and family to share mealtimes.

We proudly hold a Food Standards Agency rating of 5, the highest possible.

Activities & Wellbeing

Staying active and engaged is central to life at Forest Lodge. Our dedicated activity coordinator arranges daily programs, weekly special events, and outings to local attractions such as Nottingham Castle, shopping centres, and parks. Activities include:

  • Board games, drawing, painting, and clay work
  • Exercise and mobility sessions
  • Music, dance, and reminiscence therapy
  • Gardening and outdoor activities
  • Movie days, arcade games, pool, air hockey, and social clubs
  • Visits to local festivals and cultural events

Our service users help shape the activity schedule through regular meetings with management.

  • Fully wheelchair accessible, with passenger lift and chair lift
  • Accompanied trips to parks, shopping, and local attractions
  • Community transport with disabled mobility vehicle
  • Partnered with wheelchair-accessible taxi services

Service users are encouraged to bring personal items, photos, and mementos to make their rooms feel like home. We offer a “paint your room” service, allowing service users to choose colours and personalise their space, creating comfort and familiarity.
